Lorna Wade – Superintendent

Lorna Wade, originally from Thompson CT, got her BS in education from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA and then went on to achieve her masters degree at Eastern Connecticut State University. Lorna taught for 35 years in the Thompson and Putnam school systems teaching pretty much every grade 1-8. She also has experience teaching Prepared Childbirth classes to adults. In her own words:

“When I retired, I felt a call to volunteer as Sunday School superintendent.  I am blessed with four gifted, dedicated and creative teachers.  Angela Sanchez  and Jennifer Foster work with our youngest children.  Pat Harvey works with our middle schoolers and Monica Boudreau works with our senior high students.  They make my job easy as they are wonderful role models for our students as they truly exemplify Christian living for our students.”

Jennifer Foster: Elementary School

Hello, My name is Jennifer but the kids call me “Miss Jen”. I joined Living Faith United Methodist Church in 2007 after my local Methodist church in Rhode Island closed. Once I attended a service at Living Faith, I never looked back! The Congregation is so warm and welcoming. I have two daughters and started teaching Sunday School when they were old enough to attend class, that was 9 years ago.

I currently teach the Elementary Sunday School class and really enjoy interacting with the children and teaching them Bible stories. We have a lot of fun with stories, role playing, crafts and snacks. When not at church, I work with a Not For Profit organization and help with their event planning and fundraising activities. I enjoy spending time with my children, the outdoors (especially the beach) and crafting. I also volunteer with the Parent Teacher Forum at my local school.

Our Sunday School class is always open for new students and visitors. We have a casual curriculum that allows children to jump in and learn with us at any time. Hope to see you soon!
