The Critical Needs Ministry collects donated furniture, stores it in the parsonage barn and delivers it to needy families. Our ministry accepts donations of good quality beds, bureaus, living room furniture, and kitchen tables and chairs. Requests come to us through our church, Daily Bread, The Salvation Army, Access Agency, United Services, the town family resource center, and other churches. Clients are screened to be sure they are getting what they need and to prevent those not in need from taking advantage of our service.
Coordinator Joseph Hopkins works with volunteers Doug Ewing and Earnie Fenner, who do the hard work of lifting and carrying furniture from the donator to the barn and from the barn to the needy families who often live on the upper end of many flights of narrow stairs. Their dedication and cheerfulness in their labor are a wonderful blessing that we all should lift up to God.
If you have household goods that you would like to donate please contact Joseph Hopkins.
